Game rules
Team Requirements
Minimum 4 players to start a game.
If a team has only 4, they may ask the opposing captain to approve inserting a 5th player.
A 10 minute grace period applies to teams with fewer than 4 players or arriving late.
Game Format
Two (2) × 23-minute halves, running time.
Last 2 minutes of the 2nd half: clock does not stop if the lead is 10+ points.
Halftime: 2 minutes.
Ties go to a 2-minute overtime (stop time).
Timeouts
3 × 30-second timeouts per game
1 × 30-second timeout in any overtime period.
Scoring & Fouls
Played under FIBA rules with these exceptions:
24-second shot clock at referee's discretion.
Technical fouls = 2 automatic points + possession.
Bonus free throws begin on the 8th team foul.
Sportsmanship
Trash talking, taunting, violence, swearing, or any unsportsmanlike conduct is strictly forbidden.
Penalties range from an unsportsmanlike foul to automatic ejection, or a 3-week suspension up to league expulsion.
Quarterfinals & Finals
Minimum 4 players to start.
If a team has only 4, they may play 4-on-5 or ask the opposing captain to approve inserting a player from a previous game to complete the lineup. The game counts toward official standings.
Last 2 minutes: if the margin is 15 points or less, the clock stops.
